Problem
The Foundation children’s mothers devote their time to satisfy the daily needs of their families, without having the opportunity to explore long-term solutions that allow them to improve their well-being and reduce their anguish.

Objectives
To support Bella Flor Foundation mohers in the process of self-conciousness and life projection so that they can define a strategic life plan through different methodologies and reduce their anguish for day-to-day needs. To train mothers in jobs of their interest: bakery, sewing, hairdressing, doll-making, among others.

Methodology
Two Foundation volunteers, a pedagogical psychologist specialized in family counseling, and a civil engineer experienced in strategic planning lead the activities every Sunday in the Foundation premises.

Activities
The mothers are supported in each of the steps of a life plan formulation. Thinking over the past that determines their reality, identifying strengths, weaknesses, qualities and defects, and relaxation exercises are some of the acivities that are carried out in this project.

Perspectives
To train mothers in occupaions of their interest and carry out a micro-credit project so that they are empowered to generate income for the comercialization of their products or provision of their services.

Problem
The children of the Foundation are exposed to an aggressive environment due to the presence of illegal armed groups, crime organizations and drug dealers.
Children and young people conscription by these illegal groups is a noticeable threat. To diminish conscription threats, the free time of children must be used in a healthy way, in activities that strengthen their abilities and reduce the time they spend in the streets without the company of adults.

Objectives
To put in place a toy library in which children can learn, enjoy, and take adantage of their free time, guided by specialized advisors and using educational material that allows them to improve their knowledge through learning-by-playing mehodologies.

Methodology
The toy library is open two week days in the afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The toy library is staffed with two teachers that support 30 children.

Activities
Academic and recreational activities aim at the integral development of children both in the academic aspect as well as in ethic values’ fostering.

Perspectives
The toy library operated from April to August of 2006 and we are currently negotiating resources to continue with the project.
